NEGATIVE MIRROR

The Silence of Bearing
A shadow is created by the body, yet it never fully belongs to the body.
It follows our movements, changes with light, stretches, disappears, and returns. Familiar yet unstable, it offers an image of ourselves that we can recognize but never completely control.
In Negative Mirror, I approach the shadow not as a secondary image of the body, but as another form of self-representation. Scratches, surfaces, fragments, and visual noise interrupt the figure, making the boundary between body, shadow, and surrounding space increasingly uncertain.
The series turns the act of looking outward back toward the self. What appears to be a simple trace of physical presence gradually becomes a question of identity.
When I gaze at my shadow, I discover another version of myself.
